Ultrasonic Immersion

The module consists of 6 lessons about ultrasonic immersion testing. The Immersion/Squirter Systems lesson provides you with information on two different systems that are currently in use, along with some examples of other custom designed systems. The Immersion Testing lesson introduces you to the theory of immersion testing, the required equipment, its advantages and disadvantages and some examples of methods used.

The Modified Immersion Testing lesson introduces you to three additional techniques that are used in ultrasonic immersion testing. The Scanning Positioning Units lesson provides you with information on the scanners, manipulators and special transducers that are used in ultrasonic immersion testing. The Transducer Construction lesson provides you with information on how transducers are constructed, their characteristics, and criteria for selecting the correct transducer for your applications.

The Transducer Performance Documentation lesson contains information on the testing and documentation of transducers and shows you examples of various wave forms and diagrams that are produced using the ultrasonic immersion testing method.

Cost: $19.00 for a 3 month license
